Rick Stein Comes to Lewes

We were delighted to welcome Rick Stein to Lewes last Tuesday (22nd Sept 2015) for an exclusive public interview with OctoberFeast trustee and author Mark Ridgwell.

Rick was so generous with his time, and shared amusing anecdotes about his culinary memories of East Sussex; his thoughts on Michelin Star cuisine; the process behind his new book and TV series From Venice to Istanbul; fish; and much, much more. We’re so grateful to Rick for his support of Lewes OctoberFeast, and for being such an entertaining and warm-hearted presence at Lewes All Saints. The talk was followed by a deliciously fresh fish ‘n’ chip supper cooked up by hard-working Olly Dawson of Olly’s Fish Shack and eaten hungrily by many of our guests.

We’d like to extend our thanks to Miles Jenner of Harveys Brewery, David at Flint Owl Bakery, the team at Waterstones Lewes, Lizzie at All Saints, Graham at The White Hart and our team of volunteers that helped make the evening such a success. As guest Chloe Edwards, says: “It was great, a lovely affirmation of good food thoughts and love.
