If the mention of veal conjures images of calves suffering in tiny crates and fed irondeficient
diets, it’s time to think again. British Rose Veal is a high-welfare, ethically-reared meat that animal welfare organisations like Compassion in World Farming and the RSPCA are keen to endorse. Join some of our favourite suppliers in the ‘Baronial Hall’ for a celebration of British farming, cookery and hospitality. There will be butchery and cookery demonstrations from Cherry Pie Farm in Laughton, May’s Farm Cart and chef Dominic McCartan, followed by a three-course British Rose Veal banquet accompanied by wines selected by Cassie and Henry from Butlers Wine Cellar. Recipes will be provided before it’s time to board the bus for the journey back to Lewes.
£45, includes transport to and from Lewes, a three-course meal and a glass of wine with each course. To book call 01323 811244 or email
