Lewes Short Story: How to Write Mouthwatering Fiction

October 8, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

£22

How do we describe taste? What role does food play in fiction? What does the way a character eats say about them? How can we write about food in a way that will make readers’ salivate? This three-hour workshop, for all levels including beginners, puts food and flavour at the forefront of your writing. We’ll get our tastebuds going by sampling a variety of foods and find vibrant, original ways of describing it. We’ll look at the act of eating itself, the feelings food triggers, and how other authors have used food in their fiction. Through a series of exercises, we’ll extend this out further until you have all the components of a complete gastro-story. To book and for more info email Holly
