Of a score of good things found outside Heaven, the land of Sussex was granted seven.
Friday 12th October
Sample the unique culinary identity of Sussex whilst enjoying glorious views from high above Lewes. The cook is a regular pop-up hostess and prize winning home baker. Expect home made bread and examples of the pies and puddings for which Sussex was famous: Sussex Pond for example, either the classic or the modern version. Sussex beef cooked to a traditional recipe with exotic spices that once came up the Ouse by barge. A plentiful selection of local vegetables and the first course will be one of the ‘seven good things’ of Sussex.
With a nod to the more recent developments in Sussex agriculture, a complimentary glass of Sussex fizz will precede the meal.
