Now in its eighth year, Lewes Octoberfeast returns this Autumn. We are a small charity set up to support creative and sustainable food and drink culture in East Sussex. The festival is managed by a team of volunteers and all revenue goes directly towards the cost of insuring, hosting and promoting associated events.

Do I have to host an event to advertise with OctoberFeast?

No, we welcome submissions from all local businesses who share our values.

Do I have to advertise to host an OctoberFeast event?

Yes, to be part of the festival you must pay to be listed on the website and in our programme. Prices start at just £20 for pop-up hosts and £25 for a basic listing.

What is your 2017 application deadline?

30th June 2017

What do I need to send in?

If you are hosting one or more events during the festival, we need to know the following for each:

  • Title
  • Date
  • Time
  • Venue
  • Price
  • Organiser name & contact
  • Description (80 words max)

How do I pay?

You can pay for your event listing, membership or advert online via PayPal, just select the appropriate package above. We also accept cash and cheque payments made out to ‘Lewes OctoberFeast’ and sent FAO Mark Sawtell (OctoberFeast) c/o 42 Grange Road, Lewes, BN7 1TT.

I would like to place an ad but I can’t prepare the artwork, can you help?

Our designer Peter Flanagan offers a superb ad design service inclusive in the price. Email Peter to discuss your requirements.

What are your artwork guidelines?

Artwork should be supplied to Peter Flanagan in high res (300dpi) .jpg or .pdf format at the following dimensions:

  • 1/4 page: 77mm x 108mm
  • 1/2 page: 154mm x 108mm
    or 77mm x 216mm
  • Full page: 154mm x 216mm

When does your programme come out?

Programme distribution will begin during the last week of August 2017.

Where is your programme distributed?

The OctoberFeast programme is distributed to venues and businesses throughout Lewes and nearby villages, Brighton, Seaford and Newhaven. If you have room to stock our programme, we are keen to find new outlets particularly outside of Lewes town. Do get in touch.

What do you mean by Public Liability Insurance for pop-up hosts?

If you would like to host a pop-up supper as part of OctoberFeast, our insurance covers public liability for events held on private, residential property during the festival period. This insurance is supplementary to your home insurance and is essential if you wish to open up your home to paying guests. Our policy offers xxx security in the event of  accident or injury.

How do I register for a pitch at the Street Food Feast?
