Octoberfeast is now in its ninth year – we began back in 2010 with the aim of promoting local food and producers and enjoying the fruits of the autumn harvest.
Locals put on special menus and our programme of pop up suppers have proved a very popular part of Octoberfeast encouraging keen cooks to host a ‘come dine with me’ evening.
Exact dates to follow:
Our first biblical epic Gladiator will be followed by a whiskey tasting with acclaimed spirits expert Mark Ridgwell in Robert’s bar.
We will create a very long table with food before or after (tbc) The Cook, The Thief, The Wife and her Lover.

….. and as a foretaste of Octoberfeast the apple press will be at the Linklater Pavilion in the second weekend in September.
The press has saved tons of apples and pears from rotting, instead turning them into delicious juice.
Each year dozens of independent events take place as part of Lewes OctoberFeast, from specialist menus to theatre productions. We offer free advertising in our programme and online for a limited number of events that are held for the benefit of the community and the environment.
